About Me
Looking for a Filipina therapist in Houston, Texas? Or someone who understands the complexities of growing up between cultures?
My name is Ada Clerigo, and I’m a Filipina Therapist Supporting Adults and Families in Houston, Texas. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas. I’m supervised by Norma S Reyes, PhD, LPC-S. I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater self-awareness, compassion, and confidence.
My approach to counseling centers on creating a safe, comfortable environment where you can be yourself and explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and experiences at your own pace. I believe therapy is built on trust, respect, and connection. After all, it’s hard to open up and be vulnerable when you don’t feel comfortable with the person sitting across from you.
Thanks for being here! I’m glad you found your way to my little corner of the internet.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, I work with preteens, adolescents, and individuals who may be experiencing grief, navigating childhood trauma, and going through life transitions, including stress, chronic perfectionism, relationship challenges, family dynamics, and identity and belonging.
I also work with individuals navigating multicultural and bicultural identities. As a Filipina therapist who grew up between Southeast Asian and Western cultures, I understand the unique experience of balancing different values, expectations, and perspectives. You may find yourself balancing who you are, who your family expects you to be, and who you want to become. I speak fluent Tagalog, which helps me connect even more with Filipino clients in a language that feels more familiar to them. I offer a space to explore these experiences with curiosity and compassion.
